Swing From An Old Rocking Chair
If you have an old rocking chair lying around or can to buy it on a garage sale then you can give such chair a new life. You can turn it into a cool and stylish kids swing for your garden. Of course you should have a quite high tree there to hang the swing on it. Not only your kids will be happy but such swing will also add a touch of style to your backyard.
Here are things you’ll need for such project: a strongly built rocking chair with arms, heavy ropes, steel rings, heavy duty hooks, screws, sandpaper, outdoor paints, brushes, a saw, a thick wood board and a drill.
To make the swing remove runners from the chair, and cut 4 long enough pieces of wood to protrude outside the armrest. Screw them to the bottom of the chair. Next, paint the whole swing into your favorite color. Using ropes and other prepared things hang the swing to a suitable tree branch that you’ve tested. After that try out the swing yourself and show it to your kids. They definitely will be happy for a long time.

You will need: ♥ Some empty, clean tin cans ♥ Rice/lentils ♥ Balloons ♥ Elastic bands ♥ Chopsticks/sticks
1. Begin by putting a small handful of rice or lentils into an empty tin can. PLEASE make sure the tin can has smooth edges (you can buy tin openers that open tins without leaving a sharp edge).
2. Cut the end off the balloon and simply stretch over the end of the tin.
3. Secure the balloon with an elastic band and Bob’s your uncle!

Rock Craft
Endless Possibilities
With just a few supplies — paint, glue, and clay — children can transform the stones they stumble across into animals, people, or toys. Both tempera and acrylic paints work well for rock craft projects; tempera looks chalkier but washes off easily, making it the best choice for kids. Acrylic paint has a glossy finish. Before painting, kids should sketch out their plan: It’s easier to envision what the finished project will look like if they draw it first with pencil on paper. The stones pictured here are as distinctive as people. One is slender; another, dappled and rotund. Family members can paint their initials on the rocks that suit them and turn them into refrigerator magnets.
